From initial entries totalling over 1400, I was selected to be amongst the seventy-two candidates invited to appear on Portrait Artist of the Year. Despite me not proceeding to the semi-finals, it was an amazing and extremely enjoyable experience and I would encourage any artist to enter. My sitter was the former world welterweight champion, Ricky Hatton.
